Geothermal Systems

Geothermal systems offer free energy right under your feet! It relies primarily on the Earth’s natural thermal energy, a renewable resource, to heat or cool a house or multi-family dwelling and can also provide free hot water. ADA Heating & Air is one of the few HVAC professionals in Central Kentucky with the training and expertise to service or install these systems.

Geothermal systems use a sealed underground piping loop filled with circulating water and an ultra-high efficiency heat pump system to exchange heat or cooling between the earth and your home. In heating mode the system uses the heat from the water to warm the air that circulates throughout the house while maintaining a comfortable humidity level that reduces static electricity and dry skin irritations. In the cooling mode the system reverses the process taking heat out of the home’s air and circulating cool, dehumidified air instead. The system is also able to heat the water in your home efficiently which equates to additional lower utility costs.
