HVAC MaintenanceHVAC systems require regular routine maintenance to perform at their peak. You wouldn’t run your car without changing the oil every now and then. Your HVAC system is the same way. ADA Heating and Air offers HVAC Maintenance in their Comfort Assurance Program, so that your system will run efficiently and keep you comfortable.

Why Is Regular HVAC Maintenance So Important

Your HVAC unit has many components that need proper adjustments, lubrications and servicing to keep them working properly. If you don’t provide your unit with the proper preventative HVAC maintenance, you will find yourself calling for repairs that would have been avoided if you had given your unit the proper care. Your warranty won’t cover these repairs.

Because of the complex machinery involved in your HVAC system, you need a trained professional to service your Units. Some parts of the HVAC system may require special chemicals to clean and maintain them properly.

Be Proactive With Your Maintenance Schedule

At ADA Heating and Air, we offer you worry free maintenance contracts that allow you to leave the care of maintaining your HVAC system to our professional technicians. We offer a schedule that allows you to enter the colder, winter months ready for your heat and the hotter, summer months ready for cool air. This is a cost effective way to keep your home or office at a comfortable temperature and climate. You also don’t have to worry about voiding your warranty because you forgot to call someone to service your units.

During your preventative HVAC maintenance we will also check for any problems we see. Catching a problem while it is small can save you a lot of down time and money if the problem would get out of hand.

What Maintenance Can an You Perform

Besides scheduling your preventative HVAC maintenance you can also do a few things that will help your HVAC system run efficiently for years to come.  Check your user manual or ask your technician what you can do yourself.  Here are a few things that are necessary.

Check the air filters every month. Filters that are full of allergens, pollutants and dust cause your unit to work harder. Systems that have to work harder use more energy. This will cost you more and shorten the lifespan of your HVAC unit.

Your outside Air Condenser should be kept in a clean area. Vacuum or blow debris away from the unit and don’t let leaves and other debris pile up. Trim hedges and trees around the unit so that you maintain a 2 ft clearance.

Don’t allow sprinkler’s to hit the AC Unit outside. This will harm your unit and if you have well water will cause more rust to develop. This is often not covered under warranty.

If you have any questions about your warranty or maintaining your HVAC system please call your friendly HVAC technician at ADA Heating and Air and they will be happy to assist you.
