HVAC units

Are you worried that your HVAC unit may need repair, but aren’t sure if you are overreacting? ADA Heating & Air in Central Kentucky has some happenings you should watch out for. If you experience any of these issues from your HVAC unit, then it is probably time to call in a professional, like the experts at ADA Heating & Air.

  1. The temperature is incorrect

If you have your HVAC set to be blowing cool air, then it should blow cool air. Likewise, the same should happen with warm air. If you find that this is not the case and that the air circulating in your home is not the appropriate temperature, then you likely have an issue with your HVAC system that requires professional assistance.

  1. Inappropriate air flow

Just as with the temperature, you expect your HVAC system to circulate the right amount of air whenever it is on. If you find that your HVAC system is not circulating enough air, there may be blockage somewhere in the system that needs to be attended to.

  1. Strange sounds or smells

The tried and true way to tell if your HVAC system or anything else in your house is acting up is to pay attention to your senses. If you hear, smell, or see something that seems wrong to you, something is likely not working. Whether something turns out to be acting up or not, we recommend calling an HVAC professional to check on it either way. In the best case scenario, nothing turns out to be wrong with your system at all, but you may find that you need professional assistance.

  1. Infrequent maintenance

If you are like many homeowners, you unfortunately do not pay as much attention to your HVAC system as is recommended. If you experience any of the other above phenomena and you haven’t had your HVAC system looked at or maintained in several months, or even years, then double the need to see a professional. Like any piece of machinery, HVAC systems need routine upkeep, and without that they are likely to degrade and quit working as they are supposed to.

If any of this sounds like something you have experienced from your own HVAC unit recently, then please contact the HVAC professionals at ADA Heating & Air to provide a second opinion and a course of action for your situation. We serve all of Central Kentucky, including Danville, Versailles, Nicholasville, Stanford, Lancaster, Harrodsburg, Lexington, and Winchester.
